Saguaro Cactus
As you know it is very hard for a plant to live in the desert. Something awesome is that the saguaro cactus has its own adaptations that helps them live there, i will tell you some. The Saguaro cactus has downward pointing spines which make it easier to direct rainwater into the depressions of the cactus. The spines help to cool the outer skin. Its big trunk helps it so that it can absorb and reserve the water and nutrients it has. Another thing is that it does not need a lot of water to survive, they can survive with just a little tiny bit. their size that its so big it helps them live in the desert. And the last adaptation i will talk about is about their roots it helps them get more water.
